After you are numb, the Skinpen is used to create thousands of microchannels on the surface of your skin. The purpose of this method is to create controlled injury, which stimulates new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation. Your blood is also drawn and spun down to separate the plasma from the red blood cells (RBC) and white blood cells (WBC). The portion with the RBC and WBC is tossed and your plasma, which is rich in growth factors, proteins, and nutrients, is applied and needled into your skin for an enhanced result and better recovery time.

The healing process and recovery time for this treatment is too easy. Immediately after treatment, your skin will look pink/flushed and feel like a slight sunburn for 1-2 days. By days 2-3, your face will look like you didn’t have anything done! By days 3-5 you may purge and/or have mild flakiness. A few weeks after, many people report a difference in their skin, however, the magical results happen about 4-6 weeks after a treatment.
